Multimedia Story: 75 Jahre Main-Echo

Main-Echo, a regional daily paper based in Aschaffenburg, Germany, has existed for over 75 years. In the run-up to this anniversary, I coordinated a multimedia project that documents the progress, technological advancements and other changes in the way Main-Echo has produced and spread the news throughout its history. The story features many photos from the extensive archive, as well as videos and interactive elements. I took on the managing role for this project and was responsible for the research necessary to conceptualise the timeline. I also produced a number of the videos, created multimedia elements and wrote the accompanying texts. This project is the first of its kind at Main-Echo and made its online-debut on November 24, 2020.

Das Main-Echo existiert schon seit 75 Jahren. Mit Hinblick auf dieses Jubiläum habe ich eine Multimedia Story koordiniert. Das Projekt zeigt den technischen Fortschritt des Verlags, sowie die Entwicklungen und Änderungen in der Nachrichtenproduktion im Laufe der Zeit. Ich habe die leitende Rolle des Projekts übernommen und war zudem für die Recherche und Konzipierung der Timeline verantwortlich. Außerdem habe ich einige Videos produziert, interaktive Elemente kreiert und die begleitenden Texte geschrieben. So ein Projekt ist erstmalig für das Main-Echo entstanden und hatte am 24. November 2020 sein Debüt.
